Charlene Lujan is the Chief Technology Ambassador at METech, leading global efforts in data center management and sustainable asset disposition. With nearly 15 years in tech, she began at a VAR reseller building custom racks for Enterprise, Fortune 500, and OEMs. Her diverse career spans nursing, real estate, and technology. Passionate about sustainability and diversity in tech, she specializes in IT asset management, recycling, data destruction, and circular economy logistics. A founder of Smartwaste Inc. and an investor in cutting-edge tech, she was nominated for AFCOM NorCal’s 2025 Board. Charlene holds a black belt in Taekwondo and enjoys fitness, family, and church.
Kelly Adels Hess is the CEO of CompuCycle, the only woman-led, dual-certified electronics recycling and processing facility. With a passion for sustainability, she has transformed CompuCycle into a national leader in secure IT asset disposition and e-waste recycling. Under her leadership, the company launched a cutting-edge automated shredding and plastics plant. A graduate of SMU, Kelly actively supports women entrepreneurs, serves on multiple boards, and engages deeply in her community. She has been recognized by InnovationMap and Houston Business Journal. Kelly cherishes time with her husband and two daughters, balancing family, innovation, and impactful leadership.
Sue, a proficient strategist, joined the ITAD industry as a receptionist in hopes of finding her identity apart from being a mother. Driven to expand her horizons, she went back to school to support her competence with skills. Today, she has more than 20 years of experience in domains ranging from decommissioning & relocation services, secure data destruction, waste awareness, reuse, and recycle. She credits her women mentors for being her sources of inspiration, and for identifying capabilities she couldn’t see in herself. She is committed to helping people who are struggling with self-doubt and wish to find a safe space to realize their dreams.
Lisa has been in the industry since 1999, focusing primarily on large hyperscale operations that require secure recycling for end-of-life products. Throughout her years Lisa has witnessed the changes in e-recycling from a scrap-value based service to the serious and complex responsibilities of ITAD today. Her knowledge spans from data security, privacy regulations, downstream accountability, complicated battery management, and legal documentation. Lisa is currently Co-chair of the Recycling and Sustainability Committee at RLA. Outside of her professional commitments, Lisa enjoys playing music, hiking, biking, and kayaking, which reflects her dynamic and well-rounded personality.
